our Investment opportunities
VENTURE CAPITAL
investing in STARTUP
We invest in venture capital (VC) opportunities. Our approach is to fuel revolutionary ideas, and inject resources into early-stage African companies that are disrupting industries and redefining the future. We take calculated risks in order to unlock explosive growth. While we realize that some VC investments will fizzle out, the successful ones can generate life-changing gains, transforming our startups into powerhouses and minting fortunes for investors.
We base our VC strategy on funding rhinos. Firms tackling market realities head-on, exemplifying practical scalability, strong customer relationships and market sustainability, all while delivering excellent returns... and who knows, we just might find a Unicorn (startups that reach a value of $1 billion) along the way!

OUR MOTIVATION
CHALLENGING THE WEALTH GAP
In Kenya, as is the case with many other places in the world, capital markets are conspicuously underdeveloped and inaccessible for most. Newer companies, especially those that are hoping to access these markets, are typically left out and find it very difficult, if not impossible, to raise capital to grow their businesses. What little is invested into these markets is mercilessly between ultra conservative, low yielding investments, such as government treasuries, unit trusts, bank deposits and real estate.
While these investments might be viewed as "safe" and they can form part of a good diversified portfolio, they do little to encourage macroeconomic growth and are most notable for their inability to consolidate wealth among an elite few. It is no wonder why these markets, devoid of innovation and characterized by low returns and high barriers to entry, have failed to attract attention and excitement of the younger generations of investors. Our goal at Pumapa is to remove these barriers to entry by democratizing our investment strategies.
